A retro delight, the Harbour View's an Exmouth institution, enjoyed by four generations of our family to date. Haute cuisine it's not, but it's right on the beach, with outside tables for sunny days. A perfect spot for a quick cuppa or fryup on a rainy day, too. Dogs are welcome, so it's a favourite haunt of dog walkers, whose pets are a constant source of amusement. I used to visit Cafe Uno for coffee once a week and met a few friends for a chat and a cup of coffee. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the coffee was among the best in Exmouth. We frequently had toast as the perfect accompaniment to our coffee. This was not the run-of-the-mill factory sliced bread but beautiful thick cut granary. Spread with real butter ( or healthy stuff if you were so inclined) and juicy strawberry jam.
