Our visitor from the MND Association was incredible, mobilizing help from the NHS, Social Services and voluntary groups, as well as always finding time to simply sit and talk. Thanks to the MNDA, Mum was able to stay at home and live out her life with dignity. Not only that, but we were able to make her last months a time for sharing fun and building memories. If anyone you know suffers from MND, or has a friend or family member with this very difficult condition, please do not hesitate to put them in touch with the MNDA - it will make all the difference.Following my mother's diagnosis with Motor Neurone Disease, our family was badly in need of advice, support and practical help. Apart from the practical help in terms of equipment loans, they arranged for weekly visits to the hospice day centre in Exeter, where she could get a bath, hairdo, massage and manicure, and where we could enjoy quality time together. Thanks to Hospiscare, Mum was able to retain her dignity to the last, and we were able to share some happy times, even in the very sad circumstances. Our family are so grateful for the help and support we received from Exmouth Hospiscare during the last stages of my mother's terminal illness.
