My husband treated me to sailing lessons for a day with Exmouth Day Sailing and I found it to be the best day I've ever had. I agree with Chloe - the range of Animal clothing is diverse and although it's a small store, they have plenty of choice. I have always found Webex Sports to be really helpful and they never disappoint. They're well stocked and really practical with advice. I've only used the swimming pool in the sports centre and I was pleased with it. I thought the lay out of it is good and the amount of activities that go on in the sports centre is good as well. I think the amount of lockers that are provided is really good as it caters for a lot of people and this can be handy when the pool has activities going on. There''s a huge sale on at the moment and I find the staff there particularly helpful for advising you on technical gear that you might not know much about. Eg, tents. I have only just invested in my first tent and managed to come away with just what I needed, not something over-extravagant. When I bought my first rib last summer, I went in to Peter Dixon''s to get my chain and anchor, and found them really helpful. A well stocked shop, too. You''d be hard pushed not to find what you''re looking for in there. Phear Park is in easy reach of the town centre, just off Withycombe Village Road, and has free parking. Kids can explore the big tree trunks in the park or you can play on the 18-hole pitch and put with older ones, or the 9-hole Putting Green with younger ones. I''ve just looked through the article about sports in Exmouth and thought I should mention Jurassic Coast Diving. They are a PADI 5 Star instructor development centre and SSI Dive Centre and so can take people from beginner to professional levels. They have a large range of equipment and offer servicing as well. They benefit from some brilliant dive sites, ranging from shallow reef dives to deep wreck dives.
